A new wave of Grand Theft Auto VI footage and map images has surfaced online, accompanied by consumer-rights demands directed at major video game publishers.
The unauthorized material was released by a collective identifying itself as Cyberleek. Alongside the leaks, the group published a statement outlining three core demands for the gaming industry: an immediate halt to digital preorders, the prohibition of single-player DLC locked behind base game files, and mandatory offline preservation patches to keep single-player titles playable if servers close. Cyberleek referenced ongoing industry issues, such as the server shutdown of Ubisoft's The Crew, and warned that further disruptions would follow if publishers fail to comply.
The leaked content itself consists of limited media, including brief video clips and screenshots. One clip depicts main character Jason Duval engaging in a basketball minigame that appears to increase a focus attribute, while another shows standard gameplay featuring vehicle damage and combat. Additionally, screenshots claiming to reveal the full map of the fictional state of Leonida were included in the leak.
While the leaks offer limited insight into the final game, Cyberleek emphasized that no publisher is exempt from potential breaches. Meanwhile, attention within the Rockstar community also remains focused on former studio employees involved in an ongoing legal battle and unionization effort, who are seeking public support through union merchandise purchases.
