CD Projekt Red has officially confirmed that its next major title, tentatively known as The Witcher 4, is aimed for a 2028 release window.
Speaking in a video posted to official social media channels, CD Projekt Red joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski shared updates regarding the studio's long-term schedule. Nowakowski stated that a team of over 500 developers is actively building the project, characterizing the title as the developer's most ambitious project so far. The timeline aligns with projections previously outlined in the company's financial reports.
In addition to the main sequel, the studio teased additional content designed to tide fans over during the wait. A newly announced expansion for The Witcher 3 titled Songs of the Past is set to receive a full presentation during Gamescom Opening Night Live. Nowakowski indicated that the DLC will feature a dark storyline, keeping in line with the franchise's established tone.
