Larian Studios has released a major content drop for console players of Baldur's Gate 3, introducing 20 curated community mods to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Following a short hiatus in content additions, this latest update expands character creation, introduces new mechanics, and provides fresh gear options. Larian continues to regularly vet and approve user-created mods, ensuring console audiences can access diverse custom gameplay features.
Among the headline additions is a powerful new Red Dragon subrace. This humanoid option grants full immunity to fire damage and allows characters to transform into an actual Red Dragon during gameplay. Designed deliberately as an unbalanced experience, the subrace lets players steamroll challenges as a legendary beast. Alongside this, players can access the Arcana class, which manipulates raw cosmological energy, as well as new fixes for Warlock multiclass spellcasting.
Several quality-of-life and gameplay mods are also included in the update. A new tutorial skip option allows players to bypass the initial Nautiloid ship section while automatically recruiting all available companions. Explorers can also utilize an unbreakable Eternal Trap Disarm Kit to safely bypass hazards without losing tools. For those seeking custom difficulty, options now exist to take more than two short rests per day or boost Honour Mode enemy health pools by 250 percent.
Armory choices have expanded significantly through several gear additions. Gab's Equipment introduces over 100 new weapons, armors, and accessories, while dedicated weapon packs bring unique arms such as macuahuitls, khopeshes, and hookswords. Early-game loot receives an overhaul with randomized chest gear on the Nautiloid, while nostalgia seekers can outfit their party in clothing inspired by Sebille from Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Cosmetics and companion choices round out the update. Visual customizers can pick from new Vampiric, Elven, and expressive facial presets for various races. Additionally, players can now recruit Pooldripp, a Kuo-toa High Priest, to their campsite as a summonable ally. This latest drop follows previous major console expansions that introduced level 40 caps, playable side characters, extra Druid Wildshapes, and Nemesis-style mechanics.
