Ghost of Yotei's Complete Edition brings a substantial story expansion called Echoes of Sekigahara, which introduces a new region in Ezo and approximately seven hours of content for players to explore. The DLC centers on protagonist Atsu's journey through the Ashoro Foothills and includes a full narrative campaign alongside numerous side activities and collectibles.
The main story unfolds across seven missions that begin when players examine a bounty poster for Nagato the Handsome on Kojiro's bounty board. The campaign progresses through A Handsome Reward, Ashoro Springs, Another Man's Treasure, A Past and Present Battle, A Buried Promise, Dream's End, and concludes with The Nature of War. However, the final mission only becomes available after defeating all Snake Contenders scattered throughout the region, requiring players to engage significantly with side content to reach the true ending.
Major Side Content and Quests

Echoes of Sekigahara features a new Mythic Tale called The Wolf's Chosen, which revolves around Atsu's wolf companion and an adversary named Heartless Tatari. Players can initiate this quest by locating the wolf in the Shrouded Claw area. Completing this mythic tale rewards The Wolf's Chosen Armor, which provides one of the game's strongest armor abilities. The Tree of Remembrance, also found in Shrouded Claw, presents a series of encounters with a former soldier haunted by his past. Defeating him across multiple locations culminates in a final battle against Nobushige the Unbreakable at Toshibetsu Falls, granting the Helmet and Mask of the Unbroken.
A Mother's Love quest begins at Fortune's Asobiya, a gambling house north of Ashoro Springs, where players compete in three games of Zeni Hajiki against the Madam. Success yields a childhood memento and the Charm of Drunken Focus. Four Viper Storehouses are scattered throughout the foothills; clearing them of enemies and breaking open their doors with heavy weapons provides the Charm of Smashing and access to Viper Rations that unlock cooking recipes and new dye trade routes.

Collectibles and Points of Interest
The expansion contains five Altars of Reflection, two fox dens, two pillars of the fallen, two hot springs, two bamboo strikes, and one shrine. One altar sits in the Colorful Dye Grounds, another at the Nishimura Slaughterhouse, and a third within the Lost Grove, a foggy maze accessed by breaking a brazier and following glowing bugs. Freeing the Golden Bird from a cage at the Vipers' camp west of the Akan Woodlands unlocks a guide that points toward collectibles, mirroring functionality from the base game.
New bounties can be accessed through the bounty board in Ashoro Springs and reward both currency and cosmetic items. Completing all bounties and speaking with Kojiro triggers the final bounty, which leads directly into The Nature of War story mission. The DLC includes 12 trophies tied to story completion, side quests, ability usage, and full exploration of the region.
