According to the leaked dialogue, players encounter all three starters in a traffic jam outside an airport on the first island. The sequence involves taxis and culminates with the player character catching all three Pokemon before being transported to the main settlement of the first island, which features a resort hotel with multiplayer-focused mechanics.
The leak aligns with information from the earlier TeraLeak, which had previously outlined these starter acquisition details. Fans have already created fan-made evolutions and alternate designs for the three starter Pokemon based on earlier leaks.
Multiple sources have indicated that Pokemon Winds and Waves will release in late 2027. This timeline suggests that official announcements may not arrive until Pokemon Day in February 2027, as fans had initially hoped for news at the Pokemon World Championships 2026, which did not materialize.
