The long-running Morrowind modding initiative Tamriel Rebuilt has officially released its latest major content update, titled Poison Song, adding new playable factions and fresh territory to The Elder Scrolls 3. This expansion expands the mod's ongoing effort to recreate the full mainland of Morrowind beyond the base game's island setting of Vvardenfell.
Among the flagship features of Poison Song is the ability to join Great House Indoril, complete with an extensive questline designed to match the depth of the playable houses from the original game. Players can also enlist with the Temple Ordinators, Morrowind's famous golden-armored guardians. Joining the Ordinators opens up three distinct sub-factions depending on location: the Order of Doctrine situated in the Orethan Fields, and both the Order of the Watch and Order of War based in Almas Thirr.
The update introduces the Orethan Fields, a lush environment located on the outskirts of Mournhold that stands out with manicured estates and cherry blossom trees. Aside from fresh territory, the developers have overhauled older areas of the mod, including visual and quest updates to the Sundered Scar region and the Imperial stronghold of Old Ebonheart.
Following this release, the development team plans to focus on Wealth Beyond Measure, an expansion that will conclude the House Hlaalu storyline and introduce the major city of Kragenmoor. Further down the road, work will shift to northwestern Morrowind for a House Redoran update. Players interested in trying Poison Song can download Tamriel Rebuilt via Nexus Mods or GOG, provided they own a copy of Morrowind along with its official expansions.
