Asus and Microsoft have officially announced details for their upcoming premium handheld console, the ROG Xbox Ally X20, which is scheduled to launch on October 15 for $1,299.
Pre-orders for the standalone device are currently available following the August 25 announcement. Additionally, buyers can purchase a high-end bundle priced at $2,499, which includes the handheld alongside ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, a customized dbrand Killswitch case, a 68W power adapter, and a protective Pelican hard case.
The upcoming hardware features a 7.4-inch OLED touchscreen boasting a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision HDR support, FreeSync Premium Pro, and a peak brightness reaching 1,400 nits. Powering the system is a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
This launch marks the latest evolution in the ROG Ally series that originally debuted in 2023, following Asus entering a partnership with Microsoft in 2025 to create branded portable Xbox devices.
