Scheduled for release on September 4th, the upcoming entry in the sports simulation franchise is expanding its customizable sandbox feature, MyNBA, with a fresh variant titled MyNBA Legacy. While the core MyNBA experience lets users alter league history from the 1980s through the present day while managing multiple teams, the new Legacy mode shifts the focus to a single athlete's career alongside front-office operations across a full century. In MyNBA Legacy, players can select an active star, a prospect, or a custom-built character to act as their foundational Legend, with the option to keep their current attributes or revert them to rookie status. Gamers earn Performance Points by fulfilling statistical goals and making deep postseason runs. The mode introduces a dynastic inheritance mechanic where descendants gain specialized hereditary traits, permanent attribute bonuses, and custom templates based on their predecessors, allowing players to build a century-long family tree in pursuit of ultimate legacy status.
