Remedy Entertainment has outlined its initial post-launch roadmap for Control Resonant, revealing that the newly released action RPG will soon receive an unrestricted New Game++ mode alongside a dedicated photo mode. The announcement comes shortly after the developer issued a day-one hotfix aimed at fine-tuning combat mechanics, including adjustments to stun values to make challenging encounters more manageable.
While players who finish the main story can currently continue exploring the open world to complete remaining side quests, discover World Feats, or start a New Game+ run, the current system limits progress to a single extra playthrough. To remedy this, a major update planned for October will introduce New Game++. The incoming feature will allow players to continuously loop through New Game+ runs back-to-back without ever needing to reset or erase their earned campaign progress.
Virtual photography enthusiasts will receive their dedicated feature shortly after, with a full photo mode scheduled to arrive in November. Remedy noted that the photo tools have been in development for a considerable period and that the studio consulted directly with several virtual photographers to refine the functionality. The mode was intentionally held back from the base game so the team could focus all launch resources on core stability and performance.
Looking further ahead, Remedy confirmed that subsequent updates will introduce a variety of new cosmetic options. These cosmetics will give players additional customization choices as they navigate the game's expanded open-world setting. The world itself builds upon the distinct atmosphere of the original title, featuring surreal urban environments filled with redacted documents, bizarre billboards, and gravity anomalies that allow characters like Dylan to walk on ceilings while debris flies upward during chaotic battles.
With the initial combat balancing patch already live on all platforms, Remedy is expected to share exact release dates and comprehensive patch notes for the October and November updates in the coming weeks.
