Pre-orders for God of War Laufey have opened, with the next entry in PlayStation's Norse saga set to arrive on February 16, 2027. The game will be exclusive to PS5 at launch.
Two editions are available. The standard version costs $69.99 and includes only the game, with a physical disc option available through retailers. The digital deluxe edition, priced at $79.99, is exclusive to the PlayStation Store and adds a digital artbook, soundtrack, the Dark Alchemy equipment set, and an in-game resource pack. Players who purchase the standard edition can upgrade to deluxe content later for $10.
Pre-Order Bonuses
Those who pre-order before February 15 will receive three bonuses. The most prominent is a Golden Leaves cosmetic appearance for Phranque, the sentient cube companion voiced by Jack Quaid. The package also includes the Last Wish armor set for the character Faye and an additional in-game resource pack. Deluxe edition pre-orders will receive two resource packs total.
Laufey arrives as PlayStation's first major first-party release of 2027, following Until Dawn 2 on January 28. The studio has no other releases planned for the remainder of 2026.

Platform Exclusivity
Unlike the previous two Norse entries, God of War Laufey will remain a PlayStation exclusive. Both God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok eventually received PC ports, but PlayStation has discontinued that practice. Players who experienced the earlier games on PC will need to switch to PS5 to continue the story.

The franchise has multiple projects in development beyond Laufey. A remake of the original Greek mythology trilogy is underway, and Amazon is adapting the Norse games for television. The TV series experienced production delays after original Kratos actor Ryan Hurst sustained an injury; Dave Bautista has since been cast in the role.
