UK-based developer Frontier Developments has partnered with Disney to produce a brand-new video game based on one of the entertainment giant's intellectual properties.
Although specific details regarding the title and launch timeline remain undisclosed, the project will be entirely financed by Frontier. The game will leverage the studio’s established expertise in the creative management simulation genre, offering players a deep experience built around Disney's iconic branding.
Frontier Chief Executive Officer Jo Cooke highlighted that the deal directly aligns with the company's focus on expanding its management simulation offerings. Cooke noted that the development team aims to unite a passionate gaming community with an internationally recognized franchise, expressing enthusiasm for what the studio can achieve through the collaboration.
The partnership announcement arrived just ahead of Frontier's upcoming quarterly financial report, signalling a busy phase for the studio. Alongside the Disney collaboration, Frontier is actively developing another undisclosed management simulation title.
This news follows a period of strong momentum for the company, coming off the back of Jurassic World Evolution 3, which gained popularity among management simulation fans and dinosaur enthusiasts alike.
Additionally, Frontier is gearing up for the release of Planet Zoo 2 this October. The upcoming simulation expansion introduces flying and aquatic animals to the franchise. While the original Planet Zoo was brought to console platforms gradually following its initial release on PC, the sequel is set to launch simultaneously on multiple systems.
