A Swiss game merchant has published a store page for the upcoming remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, hinting at a potential launch on December 1, 2026.
The listing appeared on the website of World of Games and was highlighted online by a Reddit contributor known as u/MaybeSwiss. The user noted that the Swiss seller has accurately disclosed launch dates prior to official publisher reveals in the past, citing the Switch release of Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition as a prior example.
While the early December slot could serve as a generic placeholder, it aligns with Nintendo's earlier confirmation of a late-2026 arrival on its upcoming Switch 2 hardware. The remake was initially unveiled during a Nintendo Direct broadcast in June 2026, accompanied by a minute-and-a-half teaser showcasing the familiar tale of Link, the boy without a fairy companion in the land of Hyrule.
World of Games also included a plot summary on its store page. The brief overview describes players traveling through time across the kingdom of Hyrule to defeat the evil Ganondorf, faithfully reflecting the narrative of the original 1988 Nintendo 64 release.
The proposed launch timeframe places the title close to other major high-profile gaming releases, including Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19, 2026. Because Rockstar's upcoming title is a timed console release on competing platforms, Nintendo faces little direct friction with its own exclusive title.
The refreshed Zelda title adds to an ambitious 2026 software schedule for the Switch 2 platform. Alongside Link's revived quest, Nintendo's calendar features FromSoftware's exclusive title The Duskbloods, promising a strong lineup for the new console generation.
