Arc Raiders' Frozen Trail update introduces the Exploring Pendola Pass quest, an early-game objective that tasks players with completing a series of challenges across the new map. The quest consists of four distinct steps that can be tackled in any order, though some require specific preparation and equipment to complete successfully. Understanding each objective and knowing the best strategies will help you finish this quest efficiently.
Eliminating ARC Enemies
The first objective requires destroying 20 ARC enemies anywhere on the map. Each enemy counts as one kill regardless of type, so focusing on weaker variants makes the task more manageable. The easiest targets are Wasps, Hornets, Ticks, Poppers, and Fireballs, which spawn frequently throughout Pendola Pass. Railyard, Oldtown, and Cielo Sereno Observatory are ideal farming locations due to their high concentration of lower-tier ARC units. Expect to complete this step in two to three runs if playing solo or entering the session without substantial ammunition and medical supplies. Since all quest steps can be completed simultaneously, you can work toward this kill count while pursuing the other objectives.
Accessing the Cielo Sereno Observatory Control Room
The second objective sends you to the Cielo Sereno Observatory, located in the northeastern corner of the map atop a mountain. The journey there can be lengthy if you don't spawn nearby, requiring careful navigation through ARC patrol routes. Be prepared for encounters with other players, as this location is classified as a high-tier loot zone that attracts numerous Raiders. Upon arrival, ascend the stairs to the second floor and head toward the southern section of the facility. On the eastern side, you'll discover the control room overlooking the cliffs. Locate the battery box positioned on the control console and interact with it using X on Xbox or Square on PlayStation. This interaction triggers an electrical discharge that completes this quest objective.
Repairing the Railyard Antenna
The antenna repair task at Railyard ranks among the quest's most challenging steps. You must bring a Wire to the antenna mounted on the tallest tower in the Railyard area. The primary difficulty lies in reaching the tower's summit, as no ladder or zipline provides direct access. Completing this objective requires bringing one of three tools into the raid: a Grappling Hook, Snaphook, or Deployable Zipline. Without one of these items, reaching the antenna top becomes virtually impossible. The Grappling Hook is the preferred choice for most players due to its affordability and straightforward usage, avoiding the placement complications that can occur with the Deployable Zipline.
When you arrive at Railyard, navigate to the southeastern corner and climb onto the roof structure. The large tower with multiple antennas protruding from its top will be visible from this vantage point. Use your chosen climbing tool to ascend to the tower's peak and locate the antenna on the western side. Interacting with this antenna consumes one Wire and completes the communication device repair. Exercise caution during your descent, as falling from this height results in death.
Searching the Commissary Supermarket
The final objective proves significantly simpler than the previous steps. Travel to the Commissary Supermarket point of interest situated in the center of Pendola Pass. Once inside, search any three containers within the store. The contents matter little; simply opening and examining containers counts toward completion. Like other high-tier loot zones, expect to encounter other Raiders while working through this objective. The breachable room on the building's eastern side contains numerous lockers, allowing you to complete this step quickly. However, remain vigilant of the Shredder that patrols this area, as it poses a significant threat if you become cornered during exploration.
