Marvel Entertainment has officially released a Lego version of the teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, giving fans a playful brick-built look at the upcoming superhero crossover.
The new promo serves as a shot-for-shot recreation of the first full trailer originally debuted in late July. While it offers no unreleased scenes or novel plot revelations, the blocky format presents a clear look at characters spanning the Avengers, the Fox-era X-Men, and the Fantastic Four. Notably, it also delivers a detailed glimpse of Robert Downey Jr. portraying Doctor Doom.
Because the animation lacks the intense digital special effects of the live-action original, fans may find it easier to identify background figures and subtle character details throughout the trailer. The Lego project mirrors the style seen in 2023's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, accurately recreating complex facial expressions and action beats. Run-time enthusiasts will note the Lego edition is three seconds shorter, simply due to omitting the live-action trailer's final countdown timer.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere in theaters on Dec. 18. However, the film faces steep competition for premium large-format screens, as Dune: Part 3 is slated to open on the exact same date with exclusive access to IMAX auditoriums. In response, Disney is encouraging audiences to view Doomsday in its proprietary Infinity Vision screen format.
Looking further ahead, Marvel will release the direct sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, the following December, which has already locked in IMAX distribution. Meanwhile, fans eager for additional previews can catch an upcoming theatrical re-release of 2019's Avengers: Endgame, which is set to feature exclusive bonus footage teasing the events of Doomsday.
